Being born in the early ‘60’s, Karen and Eddie have witnessed Broward’s growth and changes, and above all, made memories here that keep them committed to calling South Florida home. They met in high school, were married in 1985, raised two children, Mikayla and Matthew, and have recently been blessed with their first granddaughter, Sophia Lynne.  They enjoy spending time with family and friends and love boating, exercising, and simply enjoying life.

After privately investing in commercial and residential real estate market for over 22 years, they decided to become licensed real estate brokers to help others achieve their dreams in owning or investing in real estate.

They founded the the Broward Natives Team with the United Realty Group and have assembled a team who provide professional real estate services in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Their team is made up of seasoned leaders who understand the importance of client relations, quality of service and responsible representation.

As full-time Broker Associates – Karen and Eddie learned early on that the industry’s #1 complaint from buyers and sellers is the lack of communication with their Realtors during a transaction. With this knowledge, they vowed their team will always stay in contact with their buyers and sellers from the start and throughout the whole transaction making it smooth, predictable and quick.

Market know how and education is also important to Your Broward Natives. After obtaining their license, they went on to earn these designations:

GRI – Graduate Realtor Institute (only 2% of realtors nationwide obtain this designation)
PSA– Pricing Strategy Advisor
RENE – Real Estate Negotiation Expert
SRS – Seller Representative Specialist
SFR – Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource

But they won’t stop there! They attend continuing education classes and seminars to stay on the cutting edge of proper business practices and ever changing technology for marketing and selling real estate at the highest levels. They continue to build their industry knowledge by working with industry professionals and leaders and in return, pay it forward by helping other agents in the industry to succeed in process, technology and ethics.

Karen Deveau

Karen is a true Broward Native and has never lived outside of Broward county! She enjoys working with buyers and guiding them through the process as they search for their new home. Karen has the patience it takes and knows it’s a key factor that buyers desire in an agent. Buying a home is a very important decision as well as emotional and she loves happy buyers.

Before becoming a full time Realtor, Karen successfully managed their commercial properties that they co own with family. She then resigned from that position to homeschool their children for eight years and once that position came to an end with graduation, she asked herself “what’s next?”. With the prompting of her husband and the love of real estate, they both decided to launch their careers as Realtors.

Eddie Deveau

Eddie is also native and loves being on the ocean. He enjoys fishing and diving and has many fish stories to tell if you give him the chance! Just being out on the water with his family is shear enjoyment for him. Eddie likes selling homes and with his engineering background and current technology know how – he makes a great listing agent! From diving deep into finding your home’s market value to sharing his knowledge on how we will showcase your listing – the Broward Natives Team can sell most homes quick so sellers can move on to the next season in life. The last thing sellers want is their home sitting on the market for a long time!

Before becoming a full time Realtor- Eddie had a career in corporate America as an Electrical Engineer. During this 35 year profession he owned or co-owned several companies. He developed many skills in managing people/projects, sales and technology while ensuring customer satisfaction. Eddie then decided to retire from that position and change careers and he’s never looked back! He continues to apply that upper management competency to the real estate market making him a strong advocate for sellers. With solid confidence, Eddie guides clients through the home selling process so together they can get the home listed and sold!
